Terms of Use
Green matters SIA, registration number 40003463707, Zemitāna Street 9, Riga, LV-1012, hereinafter referred to as the online store, provides the content available on the website and supplies goods/services in accordance with the Terms of Use set out below.
1. General Terms
If a consumer purchases goods/services through the website, such a mutual agreement is considered a Distance Contract and is subject to the laws of the Republic of Latvia regulating distance contracts, including, but not limited to, the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia, Cabinet of Ministers regulations “Regulations on Distance Contracts”, and others.
2. Making Purchases
The prices and specifications of products sold in the online store are indicated next to the products.
To place an order, add the desired products to the shopping cart. Fill in all required fields and choose the most suitable delivery method. The total cost of the order, including delivery, will then be displayed on the screen. Make the payment to complete the order.
3. Payment Terms
The currency used on the website is euro. Payments can be made using the following methods provided by the payment platform makecommerce.lv, Maksekeskus AS:
- Latvian internet banking payments: Swedbank, SEB, Citadele, and Luminor
- Estonian internet banking payments: Swedbank, SEB, Luminor
- Lithuanian internet banking payments: Swedbank, SEB, and Luminor
- Visa/Mastercard card payments
Note! When using the internet banking payment method, confirm the order and click the “Return to merchant” button.
Personal data required for making payments is transmitted to the licensed payment institution Maksekeskus AS.
The contract comes into effect upon successful payment to the online store’s bank account. If, for any reason, it is not possible to fulfill the order, the Buyer will be informed and the amount paid will be refunded as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days after notification.
4. Delivery Terms
Products are delivered to the following European Union countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia. Purchased goods are delivered using DPD courier or DPD parcel lockers. All fees and taxes required to receive the shipment at the destination must be covered by the Buyer. Delivery costs are displayed before confirming the order. Purchased goods are delivered to the address specified by the Buyer within 3–10 working days. In exceptional cases, we reserve the right to send goods within 45 calendar days, informing the customer accordingly.
5. Right of Withdrawal
The Buyer has the right to withdraw from the goods within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt. The right of withdrawal does not apply if the Buyer is a legal entity.
To exercise the 14-day right of withdrawal, goods may only be used for their intended purpose. The consumer is responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of the goods during the withdrawal period. If the goods are improperly used, damaged, treated carelessly, or the original packaging is lost or significantly damaged, the online store has the right to reduce the refundable amount according to the reduction in value.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must submit a withdrawal form, which can be found here: (insert link to withdrawal form), sending it to the email address welcome@tarataste.com within 14 days of receiving the goods.
The Buyer must return the goods to the Seller without undue delay, but no later than 14 days after sending the withdrawal form and receiving confirmation from the online store. After receiving the returned goods and confirmation, which the Buyer receives via the specified email, the online store will immediately, but no later than 14 days, refund all payments received from the Buyer based on the Distance Contract.
The Seller has the right to withhold payment until the goods or proof of their return have been received. If the Buyer chooses a shipping method other than the cheapest one offered on the website, the online store is not obliged to compensate for the additional shipping costs.
The online store is not responsible for delays in performance or non-performance of obligations caused by circumstances beyond the store’s reasonable control.
The online store reserves the right to refuse to sell goods and request their return if the listed price on the website is significantly lower than the market price due to an error.
6. Consumer Rights for Non-Conforming Goods
The online store is responsible for goods sold to the Buyer that do not comply with the contract or have defects arising within 6 months from the date of delivery to the client, or were present at the time of delivery, unless such an assumption conflicts with the nature of the item or defect. The Buyer must inform the Seller of the non-conformity immediately, within 2 months of its discovery, i.e., submit a complaint. The Buyer can submit a complaint by contacting the online store at welcome@tarataste.com.
The online store is not responsible for defects arising after delivery. If the purchased goods have defects for which the Seller is responsible, the Buyer has the right to request repair or exchange for new goods free of charge.
If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced, the Seller will refund all payments under the Distance Contract. The Seller provides a written response to the consumer’s complaint within 15 days.
7. Processing of Buyer’s Personal Data
The online store processes only the personal data entered by the Buyer when ordering goods, such as name, surname, email, etc.
The online store shares personal data with transport service providers to ensure delivery of goods.
If you have explicitly agreed to receive our marketing communications, including news, we may occasionally contact you to provide information about our services and latest offers. For this purpose, we may process your email address provided when signing up for marketing communications. The Buyer can opt out of marketing communications by notifying us at welcome@tarataste.com.
8. Dispute Resolution
For matters not covered in these terms and conditions, the Buyer and Seller agree to comply with the applicable laws of the Republic of Latvia.
All disputes arising between the Seller and Buyer are resolved through mutual negotiation or correspondence. If the dispute cannot be resolved in this way, the parties will resolve it in the court of the Republic of Latvia, following Latvian law. Disputes between a Buyer (consumer) and the Seller can also be submitted to the Consumer Rights Protection Center or the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
The Buyer also has the right to appeal to European Union dispute resolution bodies.
